FM-200™, also known as HFC-227ea, is a colorless, odorless, clean agent fire suppressant gas. It is non-toxic for humans and animals and is electronically non-conductive. Traditional applications of FM-200™ suppression systems include data centers, archives, museums, power plants, and many more sensitive facilities requiring alternatives to water-based sprinkler systems.

FM-200™ works by absorbing the heat from a fire. The three elements of the fire triangle are oxygen, heat, and fuel. FM-200™ disrupts this chain reaction by removing the heat or “free radicals” from the fire, stopping the chemical reaction between elements and extinguishing the fire.
